Can you imagine impeccable dressed models all in Lanvin busting a move to Pitbull's I Know You Want Me? Well no need to imagine, here it is! This is probably a left field approach to how many luxury brands direct their video campaigns, but I love it. Fashion should be fun and having the Creative Director, Alber Elbaz joining in on the dance makes it more entertaining.

Karl Lagerfeld made headlines in countless media outlets over his collaboration with Macy’s. But this fashion icon isn’t stopping there: Elle reports that Lagerfeld will release a new perfume in November of this year. Aptly named Karleidoscope, the bottle will be in the form of an actual kaleidoscope for a retro, 70s trip.
The fragrance, which is supposed to smell “noble and passionate,” will consist of a mixture of violet, heliotrope, freesia, patchouli, and tonka bean. This latest fragrance comes four years after Lagefeld’s first venture, which was called Kapsule. [Elle]
American Apparel is adding XL to its list of sizes for a handful of merchandise, just a little more than a year after one company rep said “plus-sizes” are “not our demographic.” An XL at American Apparel is a 12/14, which is the average size for most women in the U.S. today. [Jezebel]

Congrats to Barbie and Ken! Lavish celebrity weddings seem to also include plastic stars, and we’re loving this classy photoshoot by Beatrice de Guigne.
Beatrice explained to Rock n Roll Bride:
“Barbie & Ken were married at Faraway Castle, in Plasticity. The bride bought her dress from The Fairy Godmother shop and her shoes from the Cinderella Store. The groom wore a suit from The Prince Charming Emporium. The couple met more than 50 years ago (yes I know they look young). Barbie was tired of waiting so she asked Ken to get married.” [Glamour]
One shopper in Pittsburgh was able to snag a Missoni for Target suitcase. Want to know how? It was actually quite easy for the lucky lady. She told Racked:
“Last night, I stopped by my Target and found this Missoni for Target suitcase mysteriously sitting in the middle of a random aisle.”
Plea to Target employees: Leave the whole collection out for me!! [Racked]

During Fall season we all are accustomed to wearing the drab and dark colors of black, grey, cream, brown and dare I say red.
Red, for the past few years has been the go to safety color to incorporate in people's wardrobe. Fast forward to the Fall 2011 runways and so many shades of orange popped up in designer collections. From sun kissed, burnt orange, mandarin to pumpkin no shade of orange was left behind.
Orange is similar to red as it's a warm color that appears on the color spectrum. With that being said, if you're a red wearer switch up your shade behavior for Fall. If you're still skeptical try the darker shade of Orange to ease into the transition of wearing this color.
Orange is a such refreshing color from the Spring season that can still appear in your ensembles for Fall.
If you’re still afraid of this trend, gradually incorporate it in your wardrobe by emphasizing it with your accessories such as a scarf, gloves, a handbag or wallet. Try this snood (scarf and hood) by Topshop.
If you really want to have fun with it, how about painting your nails in orange?!
There are an array of nail color shades that you can choose and again find a shade that works for you. Plus, having a pop of color on your fingertips is a great conversation starter.
Want a hot look to hit the town? Put that LBD aside for now and grab your own little orange dress to gain instant attention. An orange dress will definitely kick it up a notch during a party.

Find a shade that goes with your complexion. Not all oranges were created equal and a certain shade that may look good on your friend may not look good on you so try try try until you feel confident. Wearing orange never hurt anyone!

French designer Jours Après Lunes has launched a “loungerie” (lingerie + loungewear) line for girls ages 3 months and up, causing a complete ruckus in the blogosphere. You’ll know what I mean once you take a peek at the comments section of Fashionista. While some of the designs appear harmless –looking much like what you’d see on a little girl at the beach –the provocative poses and layers of makeup on these little girls is nothing short of horrifying! [Fashionista]
Blake Lively goes (way too) orange, Olivia Wilde is a ‘dot mess’, and Emma Stone actually manages to look like a total drab! [BettyConfidential]
A big win for the eco-conscious fashionista: a brand new iPad app called Google Catalogs will place your favorite catalogs at your fingertips – minus the destruction of trees. Participating brands include Alloy, Anthropologie, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Ralph Lauren Rugby, Patagonia, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Urban Outfitters. Oh, and the best part is that if you see something you need to have, simply click on the item to purchase. So much better than mail order! [Racked]
Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney’s Kardashian Kollection has already launched at Sears, but don’t think Mama Kardashian will let the girls have all the fun. Kris’ QVC line is slated to debut on September 8 and pieces will range from $35 -$145. Good luck! [WWD]

This purchase was a last resort: I have drawers full of lipstick, but none of them seem to stay put on my lips when I take a sip of morning coffee or a bite of croissant. I picked up this gloss in Reliable Raspberry, and true to its name, one layer of liquid lip color held strong through an entire day of Orlando outlet shopping. I think I might have tried on more blouses and skirts than I’ll ever wear in my life, but what didn’t get left in the dressing room were my glossy lips. Oh, and did I mention I devoured some amazing sushi at a Japanese buffet afterwards?
I was way impressed by the lasting power of this product. The color didn’t even lighten after about 10 hours of normal activity, making it perfect for a night out with the girls or a hot date. The Reliable Raspberry shade was rich and smooth –the perfect mix of red and pink. It’s easy to rock with a breezy sundress but can carry over into those chilly fall months.
However, the shine didn’t last for more than an hour. To be fair, the instructions on the tube’s packaging state that the clear gloss should be reapplied as needed, but the lack of shimmer diminished the overall beauty of the color. And without reapplying the clear top coat, lips can become a bit dry and dull-looking. And don’t forget to let your lips dry fully once you swipe a coat of color across them –on my first try, I quickly topped my lips off with shine and was out the door. About two hours later, my lips were back to their natural pale pink. (This is all in the instructions, so make sure you read them!)
That being said, I definitely do suggest you give this gloss a shot. Just be sure to stow it in your purse for emergency shine touch ups.

Holy extinction, Refinery29 posted a few fashion people collection of bracelets or better yet their arm candies. Everyone's was amazing from Stylist Andrew Mukamal to Designer Charlotte Brennan, but it was WWD's Accessories News Editor Rachel Strugatz that took the reigns. My favorite piece from Rachel's array of bracelets was the Noir gold cuff that grabbed by attention quickly. The official name of the cuff is Dinosaur Bones Rib Cage Cuff, It's great when accessories reflect Biology.

I love a good discount when shopping now luxury retailer, Saks Fifth Ave launched a flash sale site today. Saks Fashion Fix provides merchandise for a discount up to 70%. “The hiring of Sarah Jessica Parker was a move to amp up awareness, but when bankers run fashion companies it always ends up in disaster,” Mr. Wilmot said. “They talk to their wives, who shop at Bergdorf’s, and think they know how to run a fashion company. It’s like, just because you go to a restaurant doesn’t mean you should open one.”-Halston's Bad Fit, New York Observer

Florence Welch of popular band Florence + The Machine may soon add ‘designer’ to her list of accomplishments. The stylish singer has plans to team with Topshop for a line that, according to a Daily Mail source, will “reflect her eclectic, quirky style.” We can’t wait! [DailyMail]
Who said you have to don last year’s party dress to your BFF’s summer soiree. Elle magazine’s fashion blog reported that Rent the Runway, a website that allows women to rent designer dresses at a fraction of their retail price, just added several hot designers to its growing inventory. Anna Sui, Erin Fetherston, Cynthia Rowley, and Thakoon are four of the biggest names the popular site now carries.
So, what can we expect from these exciting new additions? According to Elle, we’re in store for some serious eye candy in the form of “brilliant prints, bright colors and feminine silhouettes.”
P.S.: Each new designer featured on the site has given RTR 20 signed sketches to hand out to the first 20 lucky ladies who swipe that credit card. In addition, one renter will get to add a Thakoon dress to her wardrobe –permanently. [Elle]
Summer camp can drudge up a few bad childhood memories of hard bunk beds and bulging
mosquito bites. But for 50 fashion-forward New York girls, camp involves designing a fashion line, learning how to create blogs, visiting high end retail stores, and receiving a few tips from top stylists and editors. Fashion Camp NYC, does, however, come with a hefty price tag. Parents pay $1,295 for the program alone, which does not include meals and boarding. [NYTimes]
