Overall: When I arrived at the Drive-In studios for the Erin Barr Spring '13 presentation it reminded of movie set of a 1950's film. I got the inspiration of the 1950 decade correct, but in fashion there always more to the story. The designer, Erin Barr's inspiration was Marilyn Monroe having fictional meeting with minimalist painter and art icon Frank Stella. If your unaware of Stella's work he is known for geometric abstract paintings that consisted of parallel stripes. You can definitely see the stripes inspirations and the minimalist shapes with the sexy details from the sheer dress to the high slit skirt.
