Inspected Eats: Plant-Based Power Bowls
New Year, New You? Is that your mantra or you don't care about that?! No judgement here. Many people I know has decided to ditch meat for reasons such as spirituality, animal-rights, etc. One of the main factors for friends completely taking meat out of their diet is the Netflix documentary, What the Health. I do recommend watching this VERY informative documentary of what we are putting in our bodies when we consume meat. I'm not going to go in the very details, because the documentary tell it best...it's quite alarming! Anyhoo, my favorite way of diving into this new plant-based life is through bowls. It's an easy way to incorporate multiple and nutritious ingredients in a bowl...duh!
Below are some amazing bowls that are compiled with components that are affordable at the supermarket and no meat included.

5 Mocktails Recipes!
I would like to see a show of hands of those participating in Dry January...Well kudos to all of you starting the first month of the year by not drinking alcohol. Even though it's a great exercise you're doing, I will not be participating, LOL! I love my white wine too much to give up on that.
But please don't use me as an example. Going a week or a month alcohol free is totally doable, however you have to find the enjoyment of sipping on drink minus the exception of getting a buzz. I've found 5 fun mocktail (cocktails w/o alcohol) recipes that are based around drinks that you may buy at a bar.
So while you're enjoying a mocktail, I will be enjoying an actually cocktail!
Bottoms up! : -)

Inspector Eats: DIY Holiday Drinks
Sip, sip and more sip! Drinking is one of the my favorite things to do during the Holidays because places like Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and other establishments has limited flavored beverages that's sometimes is had to resist. There are flavors and recipes that are sweet and sometimes savory that makes me want to either cuddle up with a good book or dance on a bar (please don't judge me). However if you can resist and like to roll up your sleeves, you can be your own barista/bartender. So below are my favorite and delicious drinks that you can try this holiday season! Enjoy!

Spiced Buttermilk Oatmeal with Dried Fruit and Pecans
Sugar and spice and everything nice is what I call this version of oatmeal. The added pecans and dried fruits, gives it the best crunchy sweet bit without the artificial sugar.
Peach Cobbler Oatmeal
Who doesn't love a peach cobbler pie?! Instead of the common after dinner desert, this is a fun way to satisfy that craving for breakfast.
Toasted Almond and Honey Overnight Oats
From the recipe it seems a little boring, however this recipe has an added dose of fiber with Chia seeds and greek yogurt topped with toasted almond for a extra crunch.
Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats
Similar to the above recipe, this is also high in fiber with the combination of the banana and peanut butter makes this super sweet oatmeal highly favorite for morning breakfast.
Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats
Blueberries is my favorite fruit to add to my oatmeal. Blueberries is full with antioxidants and the depending on the sweetness of the berries, there's no need to added sugar.
