Keija Minor First African American Editor in Chief at a Conde Nast Magazine

1:48 AM

Brides Magazine Editor in Chief, Keija Minor
Conde Nast is by for the largest publishing company in the industry and it has set a milestone recently by hiring Keija Minor as the new EIC at Brides Magazine. Keija Minor is the first African-American to lead a magazine at Conde Nast. This is a great accomplishment for Keija and the publishing industry as a whole. Yes they are African-American Editor in Chiefs but they are held at African-American targeted magazines. For many African-Americans that are junior editors at traditional magazines there have been rumblings of a glass ceiling which would lead to them finding better positions at a more diverse publications. I hope with this new appointment more African-American interns to editors can feel inspired for the future of the industry.
