Bag Charms, Accessories For Your Accessory

The newest accessory I'm in love with right now are bag charms. I first saw those these danglingly and sometimes furry things hanging from designers bags during Paris and Milan fashion week. A popular one that the major fashion editors had were the Fendi fur charms. Now multiple brands and retailers have their own version you can get in a ranges of prices.

Chanel Spring 2016 Aeroport

The Spring 2016 collections of Fashion month has concluded and it was great to get to see what's going to be in stores in the next few months. But this post is not about the clothes. what's also great about these fashion shows during the fashion weeks in NYC, London, Paris and Milan is the subtlety or extravagance of runway sets. Hands down my favorite this month was Chanel's runway which was transformed in to Chanel Airlines. This got me thinking, this isn't the first Chanel had an over the top runway presentation.

Below is 10 other times the Chanel runway show set was a major hit.

Chanel Spring 2006 Haute Couture. A massive staircase in the middle of Grand Palais.

Taking energy conservation as the inspiration the Spring 2013 runway had wind turbines and solar panels.

Highlighting the iconic staple of the Chanel brand, the Spring 2008 runway had a statue of the classic Chanel tweed jacket.

For Fall 2014, Chanel decided to take the models down the aisle in Chanel-made Supermarket.

---

Chanel literally took a gamble and turned the Fall 2015 runway into Chanel Casino.

---

Brrr it's cold in here.... Chanel brought out floating icebergs for Fall 2010.

The next season Chanel continued its earthy trend and the Fall 2011 runway was an apocalyptic landscape fog and black rocks outline the catwalk.

Designer Karl Lagerfeld entertained his showgoers during the Spring 2013 in a makeshift spacecraft.

One of my favorite set design was the the Haute Couture Spring '15 the Grand Palais was transformed into a botanical glasshouse.

Last season for Fall 2015, the runway turned in to real brasserie, models enjoyed tea and coffee while the show went on.

On Thursday I visited the Karl Lagerfeld & I LOVE DUST pop-up shop launch party on Bleecker Street . The event was packed to say the least with NYC Favorite Scensters Leigh Lezark, Dani Stahl, Mia Moretti, Shenae Grimes and Hilary Rhoda. The store is stocked with graphic tees, blazers, fingerless gloves and very importantly white collars. If you love the style of Karl Lagerfeld and want to ease into the transition of wearing some pieces approved by the Kaiser himself, just visit the store on 375 Bleecker Street.

Flash From the Past: Karl Lagerfeld and Grace Coddington

Karl Lagerfeld made headlines in countless media outlets over his collaboration with Macy’s. But this fashion icon isn’t stopping there: Elle reports that Lagerfeld will release a new perfume in November of this year. Aptly named Karleidoscope, the bottle will be in the form of an actual kaleidoscope for a retro, 70s trip.
The fragrance, which is supposed to smell “noble and passionate,” will consist of a mixture of violet, heliotrope, freesia, patchouli, and tonka bean. This latest fragrance comes four years after Lagefeld’s first venture, which was called Kapsule. [Elle]

American Apparel is adding XL to its list of sizes for a handful of merchandise, just a little more than a year after one company rep said “plus-sizes” are “not our demographic.” An XL at American Apparel is a 12/14, which is the average size for most women in the U.S. today. [Jezebel]

I wobble in regular heels, never-mind these bladed boots from DSquared2’s fall collection. Good luck to the brave ladies who venture out in these! [Glamour]

Congrats to Barbie and Ken! Lavish celebrity weddings seem to also include plastic stars, and we’re loving this classy photoshoot by Beatrice de Guigne.
Beatrice explained to Rock n Roll Bride:
“Barbie & Ken were married at Faraway Castle, in Plasticity. The bride bought her dress from The Fairy Godmother shop and her shoes from the Cinderella Store. The groom wore a suit from The Prince Charming Emporium. The couple met more than 50 years ago (yes I know they look young). Barbie was tired of waiting so she asked Ken to get married.” [Glamour]

One shopper in Pittsburgh was able to snag a Missoni for Target suitcase. Want to know how? It was actually quite easy for the lucky lady. She told Racked:
“Last night, I stopped by my Target and found this Missoni for Target suitcase mysteriously sitting in the middle of a random aisle.”

Plea to Target employees: Leave the whole collection out for me!! [Racked]

News broke today that the next designer collaboration with H&M is Versace. This is really exciting for the H&M shoppers and fashion lovers who may not be able to afford the authentic Versace pieces. So the question is, How do I feel about it? I feel very neutral about Versace working with H&M. To be honest I NEVER purchased any items from the many designer collaborations H&M has had over the years. Back in the day I really wanted a few pieces of what Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld designed but that's about it.
