Attending the J. McLaughlin Summer '13 preview made me yearn more for the warmer temperatures, than I snapped back to reality when I stepped outside into the 30 degree weather. I appreciate a collection that makes me what to travel to the sunny beaches of a tropical island. ...

The J. McLaughlin collection had maxi dresses, caftans and tunics in lightweight fabrics, in a multi-palette of blues, pinks and beige. However there were some attention-grabbing pieces such as the crochet shorts, the brightly printed capri pants, and the psychedelic 60's inspired dress. The accessories consisted of printed scarves, a range of skinny belts and bamboo clutch bags... just the right style for an island getaway.
