Where's the jewelry?! It was bare arms, necks and ears for many of the shows in New York. Yes, I love to look at the clothes but seeing what's new in jewelry is an additional advantage for gathering ideas and trends. Maybe this season the designers wanted to focus on the clothes and minimize the additional hardware. Either way, it's a refreshing to strategy to bring in the Spring/Summer season.

If you didn't know what Shoes of Prey were before NY Fashion Week, you will now. Shoes of Prey is a bespoke footwear line that make handmade custom women's shoes. For NY Fashion Week, Designers Mandy Coon, Jonathan Simkhai and Gretchen Jones collaborated with Shoes of Prey for their Spring/Summer 2013 collections. The shoes for the respective designers were all designed to reflect the aesthetic of the collections. Each designer had full creative control of the design process with Shoes of Prey, from initial sketch down the pipeline to the production. From Mandy Coon's sexy strappy shoes to Gretchen Jones' updated version of the 1970's clogs, these designer didn't stop their designing at the clothes. They followed through to their shoes, keeping the message of the collection the same from head to toe.
