Inspected Trend: Oversized Down Coats

It's hard to think about massive size coats right now, but for some of us this will be our reality very soon. What I did inspect this recent fashion month, oversized down coats were definitely popping up on the runway. I did LOVE the Saran Burton's for Alexander McQueen version of a coat that resembled a lush comforter. When the weather gets cold again, rest assured with these size coats you don't have worry the chill.

Inspected Trend: Taking It To The Street

Streetwear/Hip hop influenced really dominated the runways for Fall '16 in New York. Speaking of Hip Hop, Kanye West a hip hop artist/designer and new to the NYFW runway scene was singer Rihanna debuting her collection for Puma, both collections was heavily influenced by the pop culture infatuation with streetwear. There were hoodies, slouchy pants over-sized jackets all reminiscent of the 90's hip hop scene. Outside of the musician/designer title, NY based fashion designer Alexander Was also took it to the street to find inspiration, this time around the Wang girl was a mix of rebellion and sexy with baggy pants paired with a sheer top.

Inspected Trend: Sporty Trainers

Step on this...Sporty and Athleticism was a strong trend that emerged in NYC and surprisingly went into Paris as well. Trainers, Sneakers or Kicks or whatever you may like to call it, were all over the runways. This came has a new realization that wearing sneakers can be dressed up just as its commonly known to be dressed down.

Pantone Color of the Year Radiant Orchid

2014 is not here yet, but we do have something to look forward to. Pantone as announced their color of the 2014, Radiant Orchid. With all the pastels colors shown during the Spring '14 collections, I'm not surprised that a color from the pastel family was chosen.

Spring/Summer '13 Inspected Trend: The New York Influence
3.1 Phillip Lim, Ruffian, DKNY

Just in time for the Barclays Center opening in Brooklyn, I won't to dive on a trend from the NY collections that was inspired by no other than... New York.The designers at Ruffian was completely frank about Williamsburg, Brooklyn the place where the reside was the inspiration for their Spring/Summer '13 collection. Designer Donna Karan put NY in DKNY by being influenced by Hip-Hop and the street-wear for her collection that was perfect for the pounding the NYC sidewalks. 3.1 Phillip Lim presented a collection of grunge-like looks with "I <3 Nueva York" graphics tees. With some much of attention on Brooklyn and sports these days, these collections will come handy for the consumer next year.

During Fall season we all are accustomed to wearing the drab and dark colors of black, grey, cream, brown and dare I say red.

Red, for the past few years has been the go to safety color to incorporate in people's wardrobe. Fast forward to the Fall 2011 runways and so many shades of orange popped up in designer collections. From sun kissed, burnt orange, mandarin to pumpkin no shade of orange was left behind.
Orange is similar to red as it's a warm color that appears on the color spectrum. With that being said, if you're a red wearer switch up your shade behavior for Fall. If you're still skeptical try the darker shade of Orange to ease into the transition of wearing this color.

Orange is a such refreshing color from the Spring season that can still appear in your ensembles for Fall.

If you’re still afraid of this trend, gradually incorporate it in your wardrobe by emphasizing it with your accessories such as a scarf, gloves, a handbag or wallet. Try this snood (scarf and hood) by Topshop.

If you really want to have fun with it, how about painting your nails in orange?!
There are an array of nail color shades that you can choose and again find a shade that works for you. Plus, having a pop of color on your fingertips is a great conversation starter.

Want a hot look to hit the town? Put that LBD aside for now and grab your own little orange dress to gain instant attention. An orange dress will definitely kick it up a notch during a party.

Find a shade that goes with your complexion. Not all oranges were created equal and a certain shade that may look good on your friend may not look good on you so try try try until you feel confident. Wearing orange never hurt anyone!

What do you do when you're a mega brand name DKNY, that carries sunglasses, in the summer time?... Throw a fabulous pool party of course!

In typical summer fashion, there was rolling carts perched around the pool area. Did it have ice cream inside? No, it had sunglasses... a nice cold serve of DKNY chic sunnies to block the summer rays. After a quick drink and chat with Natalie off Duty and Luxottica Rep., Jamie Seigel, slowing but surely the celebs swayed their way to the pool area. Sorry, no personal pics of the celebs and I didn't get that close to the pool. I have a ~~real~~ silly fear of being close to the edge of a pool, so I stayed away in the bar area.

However, here are some of the celebs I saw that showed up at the event.
