Inspected Eats: Plant-Based Power Bowls

New Year, New You? Is that your mantra or you don't care about that?! No judgement here. Many people I know has decided to ditch meat for reasons such as spirituality, animal-rights, etc. One of the main factors for friends completely taking meat out of their diet is the Netflix documentary, What the Health. I do recommend watching this VERY informative documentary of what we are putting in our bodies when we consume meat. I'm not going to go in the very details, because the documentary tell it best...it's quite alarming! Anyhoo, my favorite way of diving into this new plant-based life is through bowls. It's an easy way to incorporate multiple and nutritious ingredients in a bowl...duh!

The Moonshine BBQ menu is new but jam-packed with bold flavors with the authentic taste of moonshine. Staying true to authenticity Outback uses Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine. This moonshine flavor is from hand-crafted recipes from Tennessee families who have been filling moonshine jars and jugs in the Smoky Mountain for more than a century.

Pinnacle Vodka’s 24 Hour Ultimate Brunch Bash

This past weekend Pinnacle Vodka had a 24-hour brunch party at the Lightbox in NYC. No I didn't party for 24 hours straight, however the Pinnacle Vodka organizers had five hour intervals throughout the day and into the following day for a specific groups of people. I was in the Media/Press bash which as the first group of people to attend the brunch to celebrate the new flavor, Pinnacle Cinnamon Roll. Pinnacle Vodka is known to have a variety of flavored vodkas, so the collaboration with Cinnabon is a match made in cocktail heaven.

Living in NYC there's always hidden gems of restaurants and bars suited for the perfect a date night or brunch. I had the pleasure of having a tasting at Vella located on 1480 2nd Ave. At Vella they have a craft cocktails with clever names such as Raspberry Thrill, Peach Fizz and my favorite Guilty Pleasure (no pun intended). When it comes to the eats, the sizzling plate of macaroni cheese topped with Bacon had my fellow colleagues drooling at the mouths.

The best way to start off New York Fashion Week is a dinner with a side of a fashion presentation. The Atelier by The Red Bunny held a launch/dinner party and it didn't disappoint. While we were nibbling on delicious food provided by Super Linda, the models strutted their stuff in 40's inspired dresses and bold red lips. From far away these dresses looks very innocent and pristine, don't be fooled the print is actually a naked lady bending over... the best mix of naughty and nice!
