Bright Young Things Spring 2011

11:04 PM

This was my first time attending a runway show at The Green Shows held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. It was a great departure to attend a show that's not about being "high fashion" but it's purpose show clothing that functional. It was also refreshing to see models of various ages and sizes.
BrightYoungThings designer Eliza Starbuck showed the many ways to wear her signature little black dress. I think it's a clever idea to have a fashion show that shows how versatile one clothing item can be. When I usually shop and this might be the same for other shoppers as well, we buy with tunnel vision thinking of what we need this item for and that's it. But as this runway show focused on it's the creativity that makes clothes sustainable.
