Robert Rodriguez FW '12 Preview

For Robert Rodriguez Fall '12 collection it was an infusion of sportswear and evening wear. There were combinations of knit sweaters with leather piping, structured leather dresses and a lace embroidered peplum blazer, which I loved. Speaking of peplum, the collection didn't fear this trend, there were skirts, blouses and even trousers that gave a subtle nod to the hip expanding silhouette. The most evident hybrid of sporty and evening-wear were the neoprene (the fabric popular for scuba-wear) structured tops, skirts and dresses. One of Robert's signature is to experiment with different textiles and make it just as wearable like any other.
