Coming off the tragic heels of the Boston Bombing, the merchandising and marketing manager Zoë Chatfield-Taylor of the Boston-based label, Nic+Zoe sat down with Avril Graham of Harper's Bazaar to chat about the essence of the brand. In a room at the Hearst building filled with bloggers, Zoë confessed that she was at the Boston marathon when the bombings happened and it made everyone in her company feel like more a tight-knit family. One the subject of family and knits, Nic+Zoe is a family run company; Zoë still works with her mom, Dorian in the office. The Nic+Zoe brand is based around variations of knits and prints. Zoe believes the Nic+Zoe customer loves to be effortless, so many of the pieces in the collection either don't wrinkle, reversible and is a quick fix after a long day at the office. To make sure her fabrics and materials are of quality, Zoe and her team source out in China, Hong Kong and Turkey.
